1)Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use (Terms). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2) Not medical advice; not emergency services

Content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only and is not medical, mental health, or clinical advice.

Do not use the Site to seek help in an emergency. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or suicidal thoughts, call or text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to the nearest emergency room.

Using the Site does not create a therapist/client relationship.

3) Therapist/client relationship

A therapistclient relationship is not formed by:

  • Viewing content on the Site
  • Subscribing to a newsletter
  • Downloading resources
  • Sending a message through a contact form
  • Sending an email or leaving a voicemail
  • Sending a social media reply/post/message


A therapist/client relationship is formed only after we both agree in writing and you
complete any required intake and consent processes.

4) Eligibility and location

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old.

Services described on the Site may be limited by licensing laws and other regulations. If
you are located outside Massachusetts, availability of services may be limited.

5) Communications through the Site

Contact forms and email

If you contact us through the Site, you agree that:

  • You will not submit sensitive personal health information through unsecured
    forms unless explicitly instructed
  • We may respond by email or phone using the contact information you provide
  • Response times may vary; we do not guarantee immediate responses

No guarantee of confidentiality for website communications

While we take reasonable steps to protect information, communications through the Site (including standard email) may not be fully secure. For clinical services, we may use HIPAA-compliant systems when appropriate.

6) Appointments, scheduling, and payments

If the Site links to scheduling, payment, or third-party platforms, those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. You are responsible for reviewing them.

7) Intellectual property

All content on the Site (including text, graphics, logos, audio, video, podcast content, downloads, and other materials) is owned by or licensed to Steve Bisson, LMHC and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • View and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, license, or create derivative works from Site content without prior written permission
  • Use our name, logo, or brand assets in a way that suggests endorsement without
    permission

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems
  • Interfere with the Sites operation (including by introducing malware)
  • Post or transmit content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, or infringing

The Site may contain links to third-party websites (for example, podcast platforms, merchandise providers, scheduling tools, or social media). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services, or privacy practices.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steve Bisson, LMHC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Site.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Steve Bisson, LMHC from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys fees) arising from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.
